Overview:

This role is part of Accenture’s Life Sciences R&D vertical, which supports biopharma clients throughout the drug development lifecycle — from clinical trials and regulatory affairs to pharmacovigilance and patient services.

You’ll contribute to improving patient outcomes by connecting scientific expertise with real-world patient experience.


Job Description:

As a Pharmacovigilance Services Associate, you will support Pharmacovigilance & Drug Safety Surveillance operations. Your main responsibilities include managing individual case safety reports (ICSRs) and ensuring compliance with global safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Affiliate Mailbox and perform case reconciliation as per process requirements.

  • Conduct follow-up activities for both serious and non-serious cases.

  • Perform case identification, data entry, MedDRA coding, and case processing in safety databases.

  • Ensure ICSR submissions and follow-ups are performed in line with client guidelines and regulatory requirements.

  • Solve routine problems using existing precedents and general guidelines.

  • Collaborate within your team and report directly to your supervisor.

  • Follow detailed instructions for new assignments and moderate guidance for daily tasks.

  • Work as an individual contributor within a focused scope of pharmacovigilance operations.

  • Be prepared for rotational shift work, as required by the project.


Qualifications:

🎓 Required Education:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)

  • Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)

💼 Preferred Experience:

  • 1–3 years in Pharmacovigilance or Drug Safety (Freshers may apply)


Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of pharmacovigilance operations

  • Familiarity with drug safety databases and ICSR workflows

  • Good analytical and data entry skills

  • Attention to detail and compliance focus

  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
