Overview:
This role is part of Accenture’s Life Sciences R&D vertical, which supports biopharma clients throughout the drug development lifecycle — from clinical trials and regulatory affairs to pharmacovigilance and patient services.
You’ll contribute to improving patient outcomes by connecting scientific expertise with real-world patient experience.
Job Description:
As a Pharmacovigilance Services Associate, you will support Pharmacovigilance & Drug Safety Surveillance operations. Your main responsibilities include managing individual case safety reports (ICSRs) and ensuring compliance with global safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Affiliate Mailbox and perform case reconciliation as per process requirements.
Conduct follow-up activities for both serious and non-serious cases.
Perform case identification, data entry, MedDRA coding, and case processing in safety databases.
Ensure ICSR submissions and follow-ups are performed in line with client guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Solve routine problems using existing precedents and general guidelines.
Collaborate within your team and report directly to your supervisor.
Follow detailed instructions for new assignments and moderate guidance for daily tasks.
Work as an individual contributor within a focused scope of pharmacovigilance operations.
Be prepared for rotational shift work, as required by the project.
Qualifications:
🎓 Required Education:
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)
💼 Preferred Experience:
1–3 years in Pharmacovigilance or Drug Safety (Freshers may apply)
Skills Required:
Strong understanding of pharmacovigilance operations
Familiarity with drug safety databases and ICSR workflows
Good analytical and data entry skills
Attention to detail and compliance focus
Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Effective communication and teamwork skills
