Job Overview

Accenture is seeking an experienced Pharmacovigilance Services Associate Manager to lead and support global drug safety and pharmacovigilance operations within its Life Sciences R&D division. This leadership role is responsible for managing safety case processing activities, affiliate communications, regulatory compliance, and team performance across global pharmacovigilance programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage affiliate safety mailboxes, including reconciliation of reports and coordination of written follow-ups for both serious and non-serious cases.

  • Oversee end-to-end ICSR lifecycle management, including case identification, data entry, MedDRA coding, case processing, regulatory submissions, and follow-ups in safety databases.

  • Ensure strict compliance with client-specific SOPs, global pharmacovigilance regulations, and quality standards.

  • Analyze and resolve moderately complex pharmacovigilance issues, creating and adapting solutions aligned with organizational objectives.

  • Lead and mentor small to mid-sized pharmacovigilance teams, ensuring productivity, quality, and timely delivery.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, client teams, and senior management to align operational execution with strategic goals.

  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives across pharmacovigilance operations.

  • Make informed decisions that impact team performance and, at times, cross-functional operations.

  • Operate effectively with minimal supervision and adapt to rotational shift requirements, as applicable.


Experience Required

  • 10 to 14 years of overall experience in Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety Operations.

  • Proven experience in ICSR processing, regulatory reporting, affiliate management, and team leadership.

  • Prior exposure to managing pharmacovigilance teams or workstreams is strongly preferred.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) is mandatory.

  • Advanced knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations and safety surveillance processes.
