Job Title: Pharmacist
Location: PharMerica, Cincinnati, OH
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $56 to $67.25 per hour (Estimated Pay)

Overview:
PharMerica, a non-retail pharmacy, is looking for a motivated and capable pharmacist to join their team. The company focuses on providing exceptional pharmacy services to hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, long-term acute care centers, and other specialized care centers nationwide. The role offers an opportunity to develop pharmaceutical skills under the guidance of a state-licensed pharmacist while making a significant impact in a high-growth environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday: 7 AM - 3 PM, 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM, 11:30 AM - 7:30 PM (Rotating)
  • Rotating Saturday: 8 AM - 4 PM
  • Rotating Sunday: 8 AM - 2 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and route of administration, making recommendations for therapy changes.
  • Maintain the patient/resident database, including medical history, clinical data, and medications.
  • Ensure laboratory tests for monitoring high-risk conditions are ordered and discussed with the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support.
  • Document all communication with healthcare providers, patients, and families.
  • Implement policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, and distribution of medications.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory agencies and company policies.
  • Inform the Pharmacy Manager of medication-related errors and assist facility staff with safe drug handling procedures.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
  • At least one year of experience in long-term care.
  • Licenses/Certifications as required by regulations.
  • Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and a team player with excellent communication skills.
