The Pharmacist at The Jewish Hospital performs medication management to ensure safe, rational, and cost-effective therapy while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and accrediting agency regulations. The role includes reviewing medication orders for safety and efficacy, overseeing pharmacy functions, providing clinical support, and educating patients. The Pharmacist collaborates with the healthcare team to optimize patient care and ensures that the pharmacy operates efficiently.
Required Education: Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD.
Preferred Education: Advanced pharmacy degree (Doctor of Pharmacy, Masters, Residency).
