Payroll Specialist – Syneos Health (Gurugram, India)

Job Summary:

Syneos Health is hiring an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll operations for over 3000+ employees in India. This on-site opportunity in Gurugram requires hands-on expertise in India payroll processing, including provident fund (PF), statutory compliances, and employee query resolution within a fast-paced global pharmaceutical environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and support end-to-end payroll processing and administration

  • Accurately calculate and validate employee salaries, benefits, PF, and deductions

  • Handle PF compliance, EPFO communication, and joint declaration documentation

  • Maintain payroll summaries, tax, PF, PT, and LWF reports

  • Resolve employee payroll queries promptly and professionally

  • Coordinate with payroll vendors and EPFO office on rejected claims

  • Ensure timely payroll tax deductions and statutory submissions

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to align payroll data and resolve discrepancies

  • Participate in payroll process improvement initiatives

  • Stay updated on changes in India labor laws, payroll tax rules, and compliance regulations


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 2+ years of India payroll experience

  • Must have experience handling payroll for 3000+ employees

  • Strong knowledge of PF, ESI, LWF, PT, and income tax regulations

  • Ability to independently resolve payroll issues and employee concerns

  • Proficiency in payroll software, reporting tools, and MS Office

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work both independently and in teams

  • Must be able to work from the office (Gurugram)
