Job Summary

ICON plc, a global leader in clinical research and healthcare intelligence, is hiring a Patient Recruitment Associate for its Accellacare team in Knoxville, TN. This hybrid, full-time role offers a 6-month contract with a strong potential for permanent conversion. Key Responsibilities

  • Screen potential participants using protocol-specific inclusion/exclusion criteria

  • Review and update patient information in the clinical trial management system

  • Schedule patient appointments with precision and attention to detail

  • Respond promptly to new patient leads within 24 hours

  • Match volunteers with suitable clinical studies

  • Communicate the value of research participation effectively

  • Maintain patient database and recruitment metrics

  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet recruitment targets

  • Ensure strict confidentiality and high-quality data entry

  • Deliver outstanding patient experience and follow-up


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, medical, or life sciences field

  • 1–3 years of experience in customer service, marketing, or sales

  • Interest in clinical research and knowledge of medical terminology

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable handling phone-based communication (inbound/outbound)

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Ability to work onsite in Knoxville 3 days per week (hybrid model)
