Patient Access Associate – PRN, Day Shift
Job Overview
Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Access Associate (PRN) to support patient registration and front-end revenue cycle activities on an as-needed basis. Coverage may be required Monday through Sunday, within the 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM window. Role Summary
As a Patient Access Associate, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, patient-centered administrative support. You will help ensure efficient patient flow, complete registration tasks with accuracy, and contribute to a positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities
Serve as patient-facing support within the Patient Access Department.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of patient accounts, including demographics, insurance verification, and clinical data entry.
Calculate patient financial responsibility and communicate financial options and requirements.
Process patient payments and secure necessary forms, consents, and acknowledgements.
Maintain compliance with organizational standards and confidentiality requirements.
Required Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
Minimum one (1) year of experience in one of the following areas:
Healthcare revenue cycle
Clinical role
Clerical, accounting, finance, or retail experience
Licensure & Certifications
None required.
Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) years of Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience preferred.
Certification through Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) preferred.
Prior experience with Epic electronic health records preferred.
