Job Overview
The Oncology Sales Representative will support the launch and commercialization of a newly approved targeted therapy for lung cancer within an assigned geographic territory covering New Jersey and Philadelphia. The role focuses on building strong relationships with oncology healthcare providers and delivering product education through strategic, value-based engagement.

The position involves direct interaction with oncologists, oncology nurses, pharmacists, and clinical staff through face-to-face meetings to communicate scientific information, product benefits, and patient support programs. Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong knowledge of oncology disease areas, therapeutic products, and territory management strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with physicians, oncology specialists, and key opinion leaders.

  • Promote and sell oncology products within the assigned territory through evidence-based discussions.

  • Educate healthcare providers on product indications, clinical benefits, and patient support services.

  • Maintain accurate customer records and account plans using customer relationship management systems.

  • Deliver high-quality customer service and scientific product information to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to execute sales strategies and optimize territory performance.

  • Complete ongoing training related to oncology disease states and product positioning.

  • Analyze sales data to identify business opportunities and drive performance improvements.

  • Travel to medical offices, hospitals, and healthcare facilities (approximately 30–80% travel required, including occasional overnight stays).

  • Participate in medical meetings and professional engagements as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from an accredited institution; preference for business, life sciences, or clinical disciplines.

  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare sales experience.

  • At least 1 year of oncology sales experience with understanding of integrated oncology networks.

  • Proven record of measurable sales achievements and territory growth.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and market data.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with healthcare professionals.

  • Ability to work independently, manage territory priorities, and exercise sound business judgment.

  • Familiarity with Sales Force Automation tools and CRM systems (Veeva experience preferred).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to travel within assigned territory (up to a two-hour radius from the base location).
