Role Summary:

The Non-Drug Program Associate Director is responsible for leading and orchestrating the implementation of strategically significant non-drug projects across multiple line functions. These initiatives focus on transformative improvements in clinical trial technology, with wide-ranging and long-term impact on Global Clinical Operations (GCO) and Global Drug Development (GDD).


Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver multiple high-priority initiatives with strategic importance and executional complexity supporting the portfolio roadmap.
  • Define project charters in collaboration with Platform/Product Owners and Non-Drug Program Office Leads, ensuring clear project scope and business benefit cases.
  • Collaborate with IT PMs and Business Leads to create well-defined implementation, resource, and budget plans.
  • Develop change management plans with Organizational Change Managers and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare documentation for funding approvals and adhere to internal governance guidelines.
  • Manage project interdependencies, constraints, and critical paths, ensuring clear communication and risk mitigation.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for functional subject matter experts and project team members.
  • Drive user-centric solution development using design thinking and user experience design methodologies.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder engagement with consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Activities & Interfaces:

  • Partner with IT Delivery Business Partners, Product Owners, Finance, and GCO functions to deliver innovative technology solutions for drug development.
  • Monitor and ensure quality execution of non-drug project delivery, optimizing resource usage and ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Lead non-drug project teams with authenticity, fostering knowledge sharing of GCO processes, industry trends, and technological advancements.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Robust program delivery plans established for initiatives, showing milestones and dependencies.
  • Delivery of medium-to-large complexity initiatives within agreed scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Compliant forecasting and cost-effective delivery.
  • Continuous learning on user design principles, technological tools (e.g., AI/ML), and innovative methodologies.
