Role Overview

We’re looking for a Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This key role supports accounts receivable and accounts payable communication, the month-end closing process, and assists with data compilation for external audits, tax preparation, and special projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicative, and collaborative, helping to ensure the efficient and accurate operation of our financial processes.

How You’ll Make an Impact at Nice

  • Accounts Receivable & Payable: Manage communication related to accounts receivable and accounts payable, addressing inquiries and resolving issues with clients and vendors.
  • Month-End Closing: Support the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and processing of financial transactions.
  • Audit & Tax Preparation: Assist in compiling data and documents needed for external audits and income tax preparation.
  • Client & Vendor Interaction: Provide clear, professional responses to routine inquiries, escalating complex requests to the appropriate authority.
  • Research & Documentation: Research and resolve client and vendor requests, ensuring thorough documentation and clear audit trails.

Skills & Competencies

  • Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with clients and vendors, fostering strong relationships and addressing concerns.
  • Time Management: Prioritize daily responsibilities while managing monthly tasks and ad-hoc projects effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Develop a working knowledge of platforms and systems used by the finance team and suggest improvements for greater efficiency.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and its practical application, with excellent documentation skills.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
  • Experience: Strong understanding of GAAP and its real-world application.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (QBO and BILL).
  • Work Style: Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
