Job Summary

Medpace is seeking an experienced Medical Director – Neurology to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Medical Director will provide medical, scientific, and strategic leadership to ensure the successful planning, execution, and reporting of clinical trials.

As the internal medical expert, this role involves contributing to the design and development of clinical studies, reviewing clinical data, and providing scientific interpretation for regulatory and sponsor reporting.
The Medical Director will also support the growth of new clinical projects and ensure alignment with Medpace’s scientific and ethical standards.

Hybrid work-from-home flexibility available.
Candidates with extensive experience may be considered for a fully remote role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical management and leadership for clinical trials.

  • Offer scientific input in the design, planning, and execution of clinical studies.

  • Contribute medical expertise to study reports, regulatory submissions, and scientific manuscripts.

  • Evaluate and manage safety issues in collaboration with clinical and safety teams.

  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and sponsor meetings.

  • Collaborate across departments during all phases of clinical trials, including:

    • Feasibility assessments

    • Study design and planning

    • Medical information management

    • Education and training efforts

    • Review and editing of medical documentation

  • Ensure compliance with study protocols and research policies.


Qualifications

  • M.D. degree with specialization in Neurology.

  • Eligibility to obtain a medical license.

  • Board Certification preferred.

  • Prior clinical trial research experience strongly preferred.

  • Pharmaceutical or CRO industry experience desirable.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
