Job Summary:

Skagit Regional Health is seeking a Nephrologist to join our well-established practice in Mount Vernon, Washington. Key Highlights:

  • Collaborative Team: Join a team of 2 experienced nephrologists.
  • Shared Call: Call schedule is 1:3, equally shared among the providers.
  • Dialysis Unit: Round on patients at the Fresenius Skagit Valley Dialysis Center, a 25-bed unit attached to the outpatient clinic, with both in-center HD and home PD/HHD programs.
  • Comprehensive Nephrology Services: Includes inpatient and outpatient services, critical care support, interventional radiology for dialysis access, and kidney biopsies. Additional services include patient evaluation of AKI, critical care consultation, peritoneal dialysis, and outpatient management of CKD.
  • Convenience: Dialysis Center, outpatient clinic, and inpatient unit are located on the same campus.
  • Strong Referral Network: The practice benefits from a thriving referral network from in-house primary care providers, ensuring a substantial patient volume from day one.
  • Teaching Opportunities: Medical students from PNWU and residents from SRH’s own residency program.
  • Integrated EMR: EPIC system used throughout the organization for seamless documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate from an ACGME-accredited fellowship program.
  • Certification: Board Eligible/Board Certified in Nephrology.
  • License: Active Washington State license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Ideal Candidate: Focused on quality of care, patient experience, collaboration, and building lasting relationships with patients and the community.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Guaranteed Salary: $376,886 for the first year.
