Job Title: MPD Head

Location: Mumbai


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as MPD Head. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans for assigned brands and countries within the company. The role requires a deep understanding of consumer/stakeholder insights, strong campaign management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external agencies. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in pharmaceutical marketing, excellent communication skills, and a growth mindset.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Marketing Planning:

    • Formulate long-term and short-term strategic plans and budgets to enhance sales and achieve growth.
    • Drive the overall marketing operations, focusing on increased sales growth across regions.
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies for promoting various pharmaceutical products aligned with company plans.
  2. Market Development and Sales Initiatives:

    • Explore and develop new markets to promote products and increase market share.
    • Conduct competitor analysis to keep abreast of market trends and identify opportunities for market share growth.
    • Drive sales initiatives, achieving desired targets, and ensuring the return on investment through strategic marketing avenues.
    • Conceptualize and implement sales promotions as part of the brand building and market development effort.
  3. Sales Team Management:

    • Provide direction and motivation to the field sales team to ensure optimal performance.
    • Develop individual/team goals to meet pre-set targets within time, quality, and cost parameters.
    • Ensure effective implementation of marketing strategies by the sales team.
  4. Data Analysis and Planning:

    • Analyze AIOCD, CMARC data for the product and category to develop tactical plans and strategies.
    • Monitor marketing performance and adjust campaigns accordingly to achieve ROI goals.
  5. Customer Relationship and Market Engagement:

    • Build and strengthen relationships with key accounts, the medical fraternity, and opinion leaders to ensure high customer satisfaction.
    • Organize and lead meetings, product launches, and CMEs to promote products and build brand presence.
  6. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:

    • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to execute marketing campaigns effectively.
    • Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical marketing regulations and guidelines.

Skill Requirements:

  • Strategic Thinking & Analytical Skills: Ability to translate insights into actionable marketing plans.
  • Campaign Management: Experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital platforms.
  • Marketing Analytics: Knowledge of performance marketing and measuring marketing ROI.
  • Communication & Presentation Skills: Strong ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Proven track record in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Strong leadership abilities and a collaborative mindset, capable of motivating and guiding teams.
  • Regulatory Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with pharmaceutical marketing regulations and compliance guidelines.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Travel Availability: Willingness to travel domestically for 7-10 days at a stretch.

  • Educational Qualification: MBA in Marketing
  • Experience: 12-14 years of experience in marketing roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
