Position Overview

IQVIA’s laboratory division, Q2 Solutions, is seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) specializing in Hematology to join its team in Valencia, California. This role supports essential laboratory testing, maintaining high-quality analytical standards and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced clinical environment.

Shift: Tuesday – Saturday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

This position is ideal for laboratory professionals aiming to build expertise in regulated clinical testing, quality compliance, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and document analytical testing procedures according to SOPs and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct routine data analysis, identify potential discrepancies, and report issues to senior laboratory personnel.

  • Prepare analytical results for upload into the LIMS system under guidance from senior staff.

  • Assist in investigations related to quality issues, deviations, and corrective actions.

  • Prepare laboratory buffers and analytical solutions as directed.

  • Provide guidance to entry-level staff and support onboarding activities.

  • Perform scheduled calibration, maintenance, and verification of laboratory instruments.

  • Maintain clear communication with cross-functional teams and ensure timely reporting.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Some CAP/CLIA-regulated laboratories may require degree-specific qualifications.

  • 6 months of experience in a regulated clinical laboratory environment preferred.

  • California Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) License required.

  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and infection control procedures.

  • Competency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.


Skills and Competencies Needed

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in testing and documentation.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

  • Effective communication and collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, with frequent standing and walking; occasional exposure to cold environments.

  • Close visual focus required for reading, typing, and detailed laboratory work.


Compensation

Annual Base Pay Range: USD $41,400 – $86,100
Actual pay is determined by experience, skill level, location, and work schedule. Additional incentives, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits may be included.
