About the Role:
Join Q2 Solutions, the laboratory division of IQVIA, as a Medical Laboratory Technician (Hematology) in Valencia, CA. In this position, you will perform essential laboratory testing and analytical procedures that contribute directly to clinical research and patient safety, ensuring all work aligns with regulatory standards and operational excellence.
Shift: Tuesday – Saturday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and accurately document analytical and testing procedures per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Conduct routine data analysis, identify irregularities, and escalate to senior laboratory staff when needed.
Prepare, review, and upload data into LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
Support investigations into quality deviations and assist in corrective actions.
Prepare laboratory reagents, buffers, and solutions for testing.
Guide and train junior or entry-level technicians; assist with onboarding.
Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional and quality teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, or Cytotechnology.
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be accepted.
Experience:
Minimum 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment (preferred).
Technical Proficiency:
Skilled in laboratory techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols.
Competent with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Skills & Competencies:
Exceptional attention to detail, precision, and documentation accuracy.
Solid knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control, and GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) standards.
Strong multitasking, time management, and collaboration skills.
Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs; frequent standing/walking and occasional sitting.
Ability to perform fine visual tasks and work in varying temperature conditions.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Pay Range (Annualized): $41,400 – $86,100 (varies based on experience, education, and location).
May include performance bonuses, incentives, and additional compensation.
