About the Role:
Medtronic is hiring a Microbiologo Esterilización I to join its team in Ciudad Juarez. This entry-level position supports the quality assurance program through the analysis, validation, and continuous improvement of sterilization and environmental control processes. You will contribute to ensuring the safety and sterility of medical devices through precise analytical and microbiological practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze chemical, biological, and microbiological samples across various stages: raw materials, in-process, final release, and stability

  • Prepare and sterilize instruments, products, and supplies following strict protocols

  • Interpret analytical results against established specifications and recommend corrective actions

  • Develop and validate controlled environment testing methods

  • Improve existing analytical procedures or develop new ones for efficiency

  • Perform qualitative and quantitative tests using standard and automated instrumentation

  • Support method transfer from R&D to manufacturing

  • Validate sterilization systems and controlled environmental areas

  • Conduct environmental monitoring, manage sterilization loads, handle documentation updates, and assess non-conformities

  • Apply standards and protocols related to cleanroom and sterilization technology

  • Impact: Handles small, less complex projects or tasks

  • Problem-Solving: Identifies and solves basic system/process issues

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Microbiology

  • Minimum 1 year of professional microbiology experience

  • Knowledge of ISO standards: ISO 13085:2016, ISO 14644, ISO 14698, ISO 11135, ISO 11137

  • Familiarity with sterilization by Ethylene Oxide gas

  • Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and cleanroom technology

  • Proficiency in statistical techniques and software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Bilingual proficiency: English/Spanish (80%)
