Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Travel: 10–12 days/month within India


Role Overview:

The MSL is a scientific expert responsible for leading in-depth, evidence-based discussions with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) in the Rare Blood Disorder therapeutic area (primarily Hemophilia). The role involves disseminating clinical and scientific knowledge, supporting diagnostics, and aligning field activities with corporate and medical strategy while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Scientific & Medical Activities:

  • Plan, organize, and execute field activities related to scientific information in Hemophilia and Rare Blood Disorders.

  • Provide HCPs with updates on clinical studies, treatment guidelines, and disease management.

  • Conduct meetings, scientific lectures, and educational sessions for HCPs.

  • Relate field insights to Sanofi’s strategic medical objectives.

  • Support evidence-generation activities by aiding data acquisition and identifying research opportunities.

2. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

  • Establish robust, long-term relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and other stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Medical Information, and Commercial Operations.

  • Support speaker training programs.

  • Communicate scientific and medical value of products effectively using approved data.

3. Strategy & Planning:

  • Plan day-to-day interactions, establishing frequency per stakeholder to achieve objectives.

  • Execute KOL territory strategy aligned with medical and corporate goals.

  • Develop relevant medical strategies and guide cross-functional teams.

  • Mediate complex KOL opinions while ensuring alignment with corporate policy.

4. Compliance & Regulations:

  • Maintain knowledge of local regulations, codes of practice, and non-promotional activity requirements.

  • Ensure full compliance with Sanofi policies, Ethics & Integrity principles, and applicable legal/regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate reporting of insights and field information using available tools.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Advanced degree in a technical, scientific, or medical field (MBBS, MD preferred).

  • 2–4 years of experience as a Scientific Advisor / MSL in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Experience or knowledge in Hematology / Hemophilia preferred.

  • Familiarity with coagulopathies and bleeding disorders and prior KOL engagement desirable.
