Work Schedule

Role Summary

The Medical Science Liaison (Laboratory) is a field-based scientific expert responsible for delivering high-quality clinical and scientific education to healthcare stakeholders. This role strengthens scientific partnerships, supports customer engagement, and enhances adoption of Binding Site diagnostic technologies, including the upcoming EXENT MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer launch in North America.

You will collaborate extensively with clinical advisors, laboratory directors, physicians, patient advocacy groups, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure optimal utilization of diagnostic solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary scientific liaison for laboratory and health system customers, providing advanced clinical and scientific support.

  • Deliver scientific presentations (virtual and in-person) to KOLs, clinical investigators, medical leaders, and C-suite executives.

  • Implement and manage KOL engagement strategies to support scientific, commercial, and marketing priorities.

  • Represent the organization at regional and national scientific conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings.

  • Provide internal teams with field insights to guide product development, marketing strategy, and scientific positioning.

  • Support scientific collaborations, clinical studies, and investigator-initiated research aligned with business objectives.

  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of all Binding Site products, including analytical performance, clinical application, manufacturing processes, and QA standards.

  • Uphold all healthcare compliance standards, ensuring compliant handling of scientific and product inquiries.


Required Education

  • Advanced scientific or clinical degree required (PhD, MD, NP, PA).

  • Background in immunology, hematology/oncology, mass spectrometry, or biochemistry is highly preferred.


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in healthcare, life sciences, diagnostics, or clinical research.

  • Experience working within clinical, hospital, or laboratory environments is essential.

  • Proven customer-facing experience is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering scientific presentations, analyzing data, and contributing to scientific publications.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong customer-focused mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, marketing, and medical affairs teams.

  • Self-driven with strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to travel 25–75%, including occasional weekend and international travel.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods (6–8 hours).

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, including travel-related luggage.

  • Must meet standard vision, hearing, and mobility requirements for field-based work.

  • Ability to travel via car or air for long durations as needed.


Compensation and Benefits

Colorado Salary Range: USD 108,000 – 126,000 annually
Eligible for a variable annual performance bonus.
