About the Role
Labcorp Genetics and Women's Health is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to serve as a Genetic Counselor within a field-based team. In this role, you will serve as a scientific and clinical expert, providing essential educational support to key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), major medical associations, and academic centers. The position will involve regional travel within the West/Pacific Northwest territory, including potential travel up to 50% overnight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a field-based MSL team to provide educational support to providers, payers, and advocates regarding Labcorp GWH's products and prenatal testing.

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with KOLs, serving as a liaison between Labcorp GWH and high-level professionals.

  • Provide educational support to internal partners, including sales and marketing teams, on various Labcorp GWH products such as cell-free DNA prenatal screening, carrier screening, diagnostic testing, hereditary cancer screening, and preeclampsia.

  • Collaborate with payer and insurer Medical Directors and professional organization guideline committee members to ensure proper usage and coverage of products.

  • Participate in abstract development and support publication efforts.

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create educational materials, including speaker programs, slide decks, and CME events.

  • Attend scientific conferences and provide meeting summaries for senior leadership and marketing purposes.

  • Participate in product development and messaging discussions.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Genetic Counseling/Human Genetics required.

  • ABGC/ABMG certification required.

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical genetic counseling experience required.

  • Experience in Women’s Health, Obstetrics, Prenatal Diagnosis, and/or Cancer genetics is required.

  • Familiarity with antenatal screening, prenatal diagnosis, and molecular diagnostic technologies.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% with overnight travel averaging 2-3 nights per week.

  • Ability to work from a home office (up to 50% of the time).

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary range: $120,000 - $155,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility.
