Job Overview
The Medical Physician Specialist I will provide medical safety expertise—both directly and indirectly—to sponsors of drugs, medical devices, and combination products in the post-marketing phase.
Key Responsibilities
Perform primary medical review of cases, including:
Assessment for seriousness, listedness/labeling, and causality
Adverse event coding
Narrative review
Update and document daily case data and feedback in trackers/tools for workflow management.
Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all assigned work in compliance with SLAs and KPIs.
After 1 year of tenure, provide training and guidance to the case processing team on medical aspects of case review.
Support aggregate reporting and signal detection activities in addition to single-case processing.
Maintain a strong culture of customer service and accountability.
Qualifications – Minimum Required
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Science, or MD/DO or equivalent degree.
Relevant and equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal educational requirements.
Language Proficiency:
Speaking: English at ILR Level 3+ or higher
Reading/Writing: English at ILR Level 4+ or higher
Experience – Minimum Required
Working knowledge of:
Medical sciences, diagnosis, and therapeutics (including drug treatments and procedures).
Regulatory requirements for Clinical Research.
ICH-GCP guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
1–2 years of clinical practice experience.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
