Job Title: Medical Information Associate

Key Accountabilities

As a Medical Information Associate, your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling Medical Inquiries:
    • Respond to medical information inquiries in English and ideally one other language (if applicable) with professionalism and accuracy.
    • Serve as a dedicated point of contact for medical information inquiries, addressing questions from healthcare professionals, patients, and internal departments.
  • Translational Activities:
    • For applicants with fluency in an additional language, handle the translation of medical information when required by clients.
  • Call Handling Responsibilities:
    • Act as part of the Medical Information dedicated call center, providing approved responses to inquiries based on research, medical literature, and collaboration with physicians, where applicable.
  • Literature and Research:
    • Conduct research to develop responses to medical inquiries, collaborating with physicians internally and with client internal teams to gather information.
  • Out-of-Hours Service:
    • Participate in the 24/7 medical information service provision for clients who have contracted this service, ensuring availability during out-of-hours as required.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • An undergraduate degree in Life Sciences (e.g., biology, pharmacy, biochemistry, etc.)
  • Experience:
    • Customer service experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Languages:
    • Advanced knowledge of English and ideally one other language. Fluency in multiple languages is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in information and timely responses.
    • Independent problem-solving abilities with sound decision-making skills.
    • Critical thinking and process-oriented approach to work duties.
    • Responsible and professional approach to managing inquiries and tasks.
