Job Overview:

IQVIA is seeking an Associate Medical Director with a specialization in Endocrinology to provide clinical, medical, and scientific advisory expertise across its global operations. This role includes direct involvement in medical monitoring, scientific guidance during trials, and therapeutic expertise during project delivery and business development phases.


Key Responsibilities:

Medical Monitoring:

  • Serve as Medical Advisor for assigned clinical trials

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the medical team and site personnel

  • Provide scientific and therapeutic guidance to Project Leaders

  • Offer medical support to project staff and sites regarding protocol and patient safety

  • Review and contribute to the development of protocols, CRFs, IDBs, and Clinical Study Reports

  • Participate in Investigator Meetings and deliver therapeutic area training to clinical teams

  • Perform medical review of adverse events, including Serious Adverse Events (SAEs)

  • Collaborate with Pharmacovigilance on Analysis of Similar Events (AOSE)

  • Review patient narratives and participate in adverse event coding

  • Attend Kick-Offs, client meetings, and internal project discussions

  • Remain on-call 24/7 to address emergent protocol issues at investigative sites

  • May require periodic travel

Team & Budget Coordination:

  • Coordinate the medical team supporting the trial

  • Manage the medical function budget


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Medical degree from a recognized institution with an active medical license

  • Minimum 5 years of clinical practice post-residency

  • Board certification in Endocrinology (required)

  • Experience or background in Cardiology

  • Preferably 4 years of clinical trial experience in CRO, Pharma, Biotech, or as an investigator

  • Strong knowledge of clinical, scientific, regulatory, and therapeutic landscapes

  • Familiarity with local and international clinical research regulations
