Manager – Medical Affairs (Oncology & Haematology)

Purpose of the Role

The role is responsible for driving:

  • New product launch excellence across Oncology & Haematology portfolios in Emerging Markets (EM)

  • Scientific strategy and medical execution for priority brands

  • KOL engagement and scientific exchange initiatives

  • Real-world evidence (RWE) and pharmacoeconomic planning

  • Compliance governance for medical and promotional activities

The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional and country teams to strengthen medical strategy, evidence communication, and launch readiness.


Key Responsibilities

1. New Product Launch Excellence

  • Lead medical launch preparedness and execution support for key oncology and haematology products across Emerging Markets

  • Translate global medical strategies into country-specific launch plans

  • Support launch adoption and growth strategies for priority brands

  • Provide scientific and strategic guidance to country and cross-functional teams

2. KOL Engagement & Scientific Exchange

  • Organize and execute:

    • ISP/CME programs

    • Webinars

    • Advisory boards

    • In-country KOL visits

  • Facilitate scientific communication and evidence dissemination

  • Strengthen engagement with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals

3. Country Medical Enablement & Evidence Planning

  • Guide country medical teams in:

    • Real-world evidence (RWE) generation

    • Pharmacoeconomic and HEOR planning

  • Support development of:

    • Country-specific medical plans

    • Study concepts

    • Evidence generation roadmaps

  • Enhance payer and market access value narratives

4. Scientific Communication & Content Development

  • Develop:

    • Scientific updates

    • Post-congress summaries

    • Medical decks

    • FAQs

    • Training modules

  • Translate clinical data into practical commercial and field applications

  • Improve internal evidence utilization and readiness

5. Training & Capability Building

  • Conduct training sessions for country teams

  • Build medical and scientific capabilities across teams

  • Support launch preparedness through educational tools and structured learning

6. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure timely compliance review and approval of:

    • Scientific/promotional materials

    • Speaker programs

    • Advisory boards

    • Webinars

    • Speaker nominations

    • FMV inputs

    • HCP classification and eligibility

  • Maintain adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements


Required Qualifications

Educational Qualification

  • MBBS with MD in:

    • Pharmacology, or

    • General Medicine

Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in medico-marketing

  • Preferably with exposure to Oncology and/or Haematology

  • Experience in:

    • KOL interactions

    • Advisory board meetings

    • CME programs

  • Experience in real-world clinical studies is desirable


Technical & Functional Expertise

Candidates should possess:

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Cancer biology

    • Oncology treatment principles

    • Current and emerging cancer therapies

  • Knowledge of:

    • Latest oncology products

    • New therapy modalities

    • Pharmacoeconomics and HEOR concepts

  • Strong medical communication and scientific interpretation skills
