Job Description

Position: Medical Advisor (Therapeutic Area)

Dr. Reddy’s is looking for an experienced Medical Advisor to contribute to the medical strategy in the assigned therapeutic area (TA). This role involves managing medical activities, engaging with key thought leaders, and overseeing the execution of the medical affairs plan to support the strategic objectives of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a core scientific member of the cross-functional team, providing the scientific foundation for the TA medical strategy.
  • Oversee a variety of medical activities, including research, publications, medical education, and patient support programs.
  • Engage with key thought leaders and stakeholders through medical affairs activities.
  • Ensure the successful execution of the strategic medical affairs plan, including education and special projects.
  • Act as a scientific expert, facilitating peer-to-peer relationships, and providing training to the sales and marketing teams on the latest medical developments.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • MBBS with an M.D. in Pharmacology/Medicine or a full-time post-graduate qualification in any medical discipline.

Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a research organization in a Medical Advisor role.

Skills & Attributes:

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in medical writing, clinical trial methodologies, research design, and ICH-GCP guidelines.
  • Knowledge of Indian healthcare regulations, including MCI Code of Ethics and UCPMP Code for Pharma.
  • Deep knowledge of the therapeutic area, strong research capabilities, and ability to interpret medical data.
  • Ability to build peer-to-peer relationships with leading specialists.
