Job Summary:

The Market Research and Consumer Analytics Manager will lead market research initiatives and analyze consumer data to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:

  1. Market Research:

    • Conduct primary and secondary market research to gather insights on market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior.
    • Oversee market research operations for the affiliate, including annual brand health trackers, market understanding studies (e.g., drivers and barriers study, willingness to pay/prescribe), message recall trackers, and other ad hoc studies.
    • Collaborate with brand teams to understand market research needs, effectively communicate them via briefs to market research agencies, and manage project timelines and deliverables.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact and consultant for market research projects, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs.
  2. Consumer Analytics:

    • Conduct social media analysis and social listening to provide insights on Lilly brands and competitors, sharing findings with the brand team.
    • Analyze consumer data to understand purchasing behavior, preferences, and trends.
    • Develop and maintain consumer segmentation models to target marketing efforts more effectively.
    • Use advanced analytics tools and techniques to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  3. Reporting and Presentation:

    • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate research findings and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Present research findings in a clear, concise manner, highlighting key insights and actionable recommendations.
  4. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product development, and finance, to ensure research efforts align with business objectives.
    • Collaborate with external research agencies and vendors as needed.
  5. Budget Management:

    • Manage the budget for market research projects, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
    • Monitor and report on the financial performance of research initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in market research and consumer analytics, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Proven track record in conducting and managing market research projects.
  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in advanced data analytical and data visualization tools.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong project management skills.
