Job Description:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Specialist to join our team, with a focus on improving manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation. The Manufacturing Specialist will help analyze current and proposed manufacturing processes and technologies to optimize performance, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices). This position will involve day-to-day leadership of small teams, ranging from two to twelve technicians, and the integration of new products from development into manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee small teams (2 to 12 technicians) to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Identify and implement technological improvements to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing processes to optimize yields, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Evaluate, propose, and assist with planning techniques to ensure successful project completion.
  • Assist in the selection, installation, and operation of manufacturing process equipment.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement solutions to process problems in manufacturing operations.
  • Coordinate activities with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely completion of projects.
  • Write, review, and maintain documentation for multiple projects related to manufacturing and equipment operations.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues to maintain smooth operations.
  • Keep abreast of technological advancements in automation and manufacturing techniques.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of manufacturing experience is required (A Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field can substitute for 2 years of manufacturing experience).
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to lead and mentor small teams.
  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (Microsoft PowerPoint preferred).
  • Knowledge of SAP and ETQ is desirable.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Systems required.
  • Familiarity with cGMP and packaging processes (inspection, labeling, shrink-wrapping, and packaging).
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs unassisted and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in aseptic areas and follow safety guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 60 lbs unassisted.
  • Ability to work in aseptic environments.
  • Ability to perform repetitive activities, including pushing, pulling, and twisting.
  • Prolonged standing and the ability to work with minor equipment troubleshooting.

Shift Details:

  • Shift 3: Weekend Days, Friday to Sunday, and Every Other Thursday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $30.01 - $40.59 per hour, with opportunity for growth, promotion, and annual raises.
  • Shift Differential Pay:
    • Weekday Day Shift (12HRS) - 2.5%
    • Weekday Night Shift (12HRS) - 10%
    • Weekend Day Shift (12HRS) - 12%
    • Weekend Night Shift (12HRS) - 15%
