Job Description

Sandoz is looking for a highly skilled Manager of Patient Safety (PS) Data Operations & Analytics to join their team. This role is responsible for contributing to the execution of the Patient Safety Data Strategy, overseeing the configuration of safety databases, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations for pharmaceutical products and devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to defining and executing the Sandoz Patient Safety Data Strategy.
  • Oversee the configuration of the Safety DB, generation of line listings, and reports.
  • Coordinate internal and external teams during mergers, acquisitions, and divestments, ensuring proper execution of data migrations.
  • Drive global Patient Safety Data and Technology strategy and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain the systems strategy and roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Manage the life cycle of business systems, including overseeing performance and governance of external service providers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to drive innovation, automation, and technology advancements.
  • Represent the Head of PS on pharmacovigilance strategy and operational issues.
  • Ensure pharmacovigilance inspection readiness and support inspections and audits.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Information Technology (desirable).
  • Clinical experience is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of industry experience in Patient Safety.
  • At least 5 years of experience in drug development, specifically in Patient Safety and Information Technology.
  • At least 3 years of experience in life cycle management of business systems with a global user base.

Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of core Patient Safety technology components and data, such as Safety DB, Case Intake systems, and HA Gateways.
  • Proficiency in managing external vendors.
  • Experienced with SQL and advanced analytics tools.
  • Good understanding of MedDRA and disease dictionaries.
  • Familiarity with supporting regulatory inspections and managing team actions.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
