Job Overview

Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) is seeking a highly skilled Manager I – Record-to-Report (R2R) Operations to join the Controllership function at its Hyderabad Center of Excellence. This role is ideal for finance professionals with deep expertise in R2R accounting and strong leadership capabilities. The selected candidate will contribute to high-quality accounting operations, period-end close processes, and cross-functional collaboration to support organizational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Record-to-Report (R2R) Operations

  • Execute end-to-end R2R activities including period-end close, account reconciliations, accounts receivable processes, accruals, and operational reporting.

  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in coordination with local markets and third-party partners.

  • Prepare scheduled balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong internal control frameworks.

  • Monitor internal customer satisfaction and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Support periodic audits, management reporting, and disaster recovery activities.

  • Execute special projects and ad-hoc assignments from R2R leadership.

Relationship Management & Team Collaboration

  • Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills to ensure seamless execution of R2R processes.

  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, timelines, and accountability across teams.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Risk Management

  • Identify and articulate key risks and opportunities within R2R operations.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of mitigation and contingency plans to strengthen process reliability.


Candidate Requirements

  • Strong expertise in Record-to-Report functions and financial operations.

  • Deep understanding of business processes, industry dynamics, and financial regulations.

  • Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to guide and motivate teams.

  • Experience required:

    • 5–7 years for CA/CMA-qualified candidates

    • 8+ years for non-qualified candidates

  • Ability to work in a hybrid, site-by-design environment (approx. 50% onsite).
