Key Responsibilities

Medical Review & Case Processing

  • Conduct medical review and assessment of ICSRs in the safety database.

  • Verify adverse event selection, seriousness criteria, MedDRA coding, suspect drugs, concomitant medications, labs, medical history, causality, and narratives.

  • Provide Company Clinical Comment on cases.

  • Review and respond to queries/comments from case owners in the safety database.

Literature & Signal Management

  • Screen scientific literature using internal and external tools.

  • Perform medical triage and classification of safety-relevant publications.

  • Provide scientific input during literature surveillance services.

  • Collaborate with the Global PV team for signal detection and related processes.

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Maintain strong GPvP, GCP, ICH, and EMA guideline knowledge.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable databases, regulations, guidelines, and SOPs.

  • Participate in internal and external audits/inspections.

Safety Reporting

  • Review and prepare Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs), Periodic Benefit-Risk Evaluation Reports (PBRERs), and Risk Management Plans (RMPs).

Team Leadership & Training

  • Train and mentor PV associates on event capturing and PV conventions.

  • Provide guidance on product safety profiles across therapeutic areas.

  • Escalate complex case issues to Team Lead/Line Manager.

Collaboration & Meetings

  • Actively communicate and participate in internal project meetings.

  • Contribute to cross-functional collaboration within Cencora and with clients.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Medical degree (MD required; PG degree preferred but not mandatory).

  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in Pharmacovigilance & Drug Safety.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

    • High sense of responsibility, dedication, and ability to work under pressure.

    • Service-oriented mindset with exposure to corporate, pharma, or life sciences industries preferred.

    • Excellent communication; fluent English (spoken & written).
