Job Overview

ICON is seeking an experienced Manager, Clinical Systems to lead the implementation, optimization, and governance of clinical systems supporting global clinical trials. This leadership role is critical to ensuring system performance, data integrity, and compliance with global regulatory standards while enabling efficient trial execution.

The role is based in Bangalore, India, with a flexible office-based work model, and is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in clinical systems, clinical data workflows, and cross-functional stakeholder management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of clinical systems to support clinical trial operations

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define system requirements aligned with clinical and business objectives

  • Oversee system performance monitoring and conduct regular assessments to drive efficiency and continuous improvement

  • Ensure clinical systems comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and data integrity principles

  • Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to internal teams, promoting system proficiency and accountability

  • Build and manage strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and technology partners

  • Drive effective communication and governance across system initiatives


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Clinical Research, Information Technology, or a related field

  • 8–12 years of experience managing clinical systems, clinical technology platforms, or related clinical research systems

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, clinical trial operations, and industry standards

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in a complex, matrixed environment

  • Hands-on experience with clinical data management systems, EDC platforms, and clinical trial technologies

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and drive successful system outcomes
