Position Summary:

The Manager, Clinical and Safety Analytics will be a pivotal member of the Pharmacovigilance (PV) Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE). This role involves gathering stakeholder requirements, analyzing data, developing visualizations and dashboards, generating insights, and effectively communicating these findings to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical and safety stakeholders, to understand their needs and develop analytical solutions.
  • Perform data cleaning, transformation, and other engineering tasks to ensure high data quality and compatibility for analysis.
  • Develop and implement data analysis plans to address inquiries from clinical and safety teams.
  • Utilize analytical and statistical techniques to analyze data and generate insights that inform clinical and safety questions.
  • Create effective, user-friendly dashboards and visualizations to address key clinical, safety, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of the data.
  • Contribute to qualitative and quantitative research projects in collaboration with teams such as Pharmacovigilance, Epidemiology, and Biostatistics.
  • Stay updated on new tools and technologies, assessing analytics and data visualization platforms for potential improvements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on analytics and business intelligence, sharing best practices with the organization.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of data sources, including clinical trial data and electronic health records.
  • Proficiency in data preprocessing, cleaning, and transformation techniques.
  • Knowledge of analytical methodologies, including regression and survival analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to extract meaningful insights from complex data sets.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex findings effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams while managing multiple projects.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biostatistics, Analytics, Engineering).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, or data visualization, ideally in the biopharma or healthcare sector.
  • Proven experience applying statistical techniques to analyze clinical and real-world datasets.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS, and SQL.
  • Experience with visualization tools, especially Tableau (preferred), or Power BI.
  • Background in the biopharma industry is a plus.
