Job Title: Maintenance Technician I/II/III - Weekend Days

Job Description:
Jubilant HollisterStier LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Spokane, Washington facility. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will perform essential tasks related to the preventive maintenance, installation, and repair of manufacturing and facility equipment. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring that equipment is maintained in optimal working condition, contributing to the efficiency of manufacturing operations in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities:
Maintenance Technician I:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on assigned manufacturing and facility equipment.
  • Coordinate with department owners to execute preventive maintenance in alignment with established procedures.
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
  • Read and interpret machine blueprints, including electrical and schematic drawings for pneumatic, gas supply, and high-pressure piping systems.
  • Assist with low-voltage (<480V) electrical tasks related to equipment installations and maintenance.
  • Adhere to cGMP standards and properly document maintenance activities.
  • Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in identifying potential risks or conflicts related to maintenance activities.

Maintenance Technician II:

  • All responsibilities from Technician I.
  • Provide on-call and after-hours support for facility and equipment-related issues.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining more complex mechanical systems.
  • Maintain and ensure equipment performance meets required standards.

Maintenance Technician III:

  • All responsibilities from Technician I & II.
  • Provide expertise in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), loop control, and operator interface devices.
  • Troubleshoot and repair advanced systems such as sterilizers, lyophilizers, and filling machines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and implement programming changes when necessary.
  • Provide technical leadership on critical repairs and new equipment installations.
  • Write, revise, and maintain technical documentation such as SOPs and critical drawings.

Qualifications:

Technician I:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or technical certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of equipment maintenance functions and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in a regulated environment, such as pharmaceutical or FDA-regulated industries, is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs unassisted.
  • Ability to work in aseptic areas, confined spaces, and be exposed to allergens.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Technician II:

  • 2+ years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, including motor bearing replacement, pump and gearbox diagnostics/repair, welding, valve rebuild/repair, and machine tool operation.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and blueprint reading skills.
  • Ability to meet departmental and personnel goals and clearly communicate job activities.

Technician III:

  • 4+ years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance and repair, including advanced troubleshooting, centrifugal and PD pump repair, SS welding, and gearbox repairs.
  • Two-year degree in a technical discipline or 4+ years of relevant practical experience.
  • Ability to write detailed reports documenting completed work.
  • Experience with advanced mechanical troubleshooting and repair in a regulated environment.

Compensation:

  • Technician I: $24.31 - $32.88 per hour, based on experience.
  • Technician II: $27.02 - $36.53 per hour, based on experience.
  • Technician III: $30.01 - $40.60 per hour, based on experience.
  • Shift premium: $2.00 per hour for shifts between 3pm - 11pm and $2.50 per hour for shifts between 11pm - 7:30am.
