Job Opening: Local Case Intake Advisor – Fluent in Arabic (Bangalore, India)

Job Summary

AstraZeneca is hiring a Local Case Intake Advisor proficient in Arabic to join its Global Business Services Pharmacovigilance (GBS-PS) team in Bangalore. In this crucial role, you’ll manage the intake and processing of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs), ensuring compliance with local and global pharmacovigilance regulations. The position is perfect for individuals with a background in pharmacy, medicine, or life sciences, looking to expand their PV experience in a fast-paced and global environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Intake and manage adverse event reports from clinical and post-marketing sources

  • Ensure compliance with AstraZeneca and local regulatory pharmacovigilance (PV) requirements

  • Serve as the main PV liaison for designated local Marketing Companies

  • Contribute to the Quality Management System for case handling and compliance

  • Maintain documentation and manage AE/PV training and audit readiness

  • Support PV aspects of Organised Data Collection Programs and Digital Media initiatives

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on safety-related issues and resolution

  • Participate in ad hoc projects to support local business initiatives


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, or Life Sciences

  • Fluency in Arabic and English (verbal and written)

  • Strong knowledge of Pharmacovigilance practices and ICSR processes

  • Understanding of GVP and health authority regulations

  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration across functions

  • Experience in vendor management

  • Familiarity with risk management, audit readiness, and safety documentation


Desirable Skills:

  • Conflict resolution and influencing skills

  • Medical knowledge in AstraZeneca’s therapeutic areas

  • Project management and cross-market collaboration experience

  • Participation in audits and inspections
