This position plays a critical role in supporting enterprise-wide learning strategy, content governance, and digital capability enablement across Commercial, Market Access, and Medical Affairs functions while maintaining strict compliance with GxP and regulatory standards.

Role Overview

The LMS Training Design & Deployment Expert operates within the Capabilities, Learning & Development Practice under Customer Engagement Excellence (CEE). The role focuses on global LMS governance, training design architecture, deployment strategy, and stakeholder collaboration across Value Delivery functions.

As a key member of an Agile Value Team, this professional partners with cross-functional leaders to translate business, regulatory, and operational requirements into scalable, compliant, and technically robust learning solutions. The role also acts as Business Application Process Owner (BAPO) for LMS governance, influencing system configuration, enhancement decisions, and global deployment standards.

Key Responsibilities

Learning Design & LMS Deployment

  • Serve as the primary global point of contact for Value Delivery stakeholders and external partners for LMS content development and deployment.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement learner journeys, learning pathways, assessments, and automation logic within the LMS.

  • Provide hands-on LMS administration and configuration support, ensuring validated system constraints and compliance standards are met.

  • Translate business and regulatory requirements into structured LMS workflows, sequencing, metadata configuration, and reporting frameworks.

  • Oversee complex, multi-region and multi-language training programs within the LMS ecosystem.

  • Support content review, quality assurance, and compliance validation processes.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Act as Business Application Process Owner (BAPO), representing Value Delivery in governance committees, system enhancement discussions, and vendor interactions.

  • Influence LMS functionality decisions, including SAP SuccessFactors enhancement requests and digital ecosystem improvements.

  • Maintain and evolve LMS standards, templates, blueprint documentation, and audit-ready processes.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance scalability, compliance, and operational efficiency.

  • Serve as SME for institutional LMS knowledge, minimizing risk and ensuring continuity across global teams.

Agile Value Team Collaboration

  • Execute day-to-day deliverables aligned with Value Team mandates and business objectives.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborative workflows to ensure timely and effective learning deployment.

  • Partner with Value Team Leads and Chapter Leads for capability development and performance alignment.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure LMS deployment aligns with GxP standards and validated system requirements.

  • Proactively identify system constraints, compliance risks, and operational gaps to maintain global consistency.

  • Safeguard the integrity and independence of Medical Affairs learning programs in alignment with enterprise governance.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 2–10 years of hands-on experience (role level dependent) in LMS administration and learning platform management, preferably SAP SuccessFactors.

  • Proven experience supporting Learning & Development (L&D) departments with learner journey design and digital training deployment.

  • Experience working in global or cross-regional teams across regulated industries.

  • Demonstrated expertise in LMS configuration, metadata governance, assessments, automation logic, and reporting.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise learning ecosystems and digital learning architecture.

  • Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Computer Science, Information Systems, HR, Education Technology, or related discipline required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience within pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries.

  • Experience supporting GxP-regulated training environments.

  • Exposure to global governance models and enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
