About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Life Sciences Pharmacovigilance IT Consultant to join a high-impact consulting team supporting global life sciences organizations. This role is ideal for senior professionals with expertise in pharmacovigilance, clinical technology, digital transformation, and enterprise IT consulting within the pharmaceutical and healthcare ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will drive strategic technology initiatives, pharmacovigilance transformation programs, and innovative digital solutions for global pharmaceutical and life sciences clients. This role requires a strong blend of domain expertise, technical consulting capabilities, stakeholder management, and thought leadership in the pharmacovigilance and clinical development space.

Key Responsibilities

Pharmacovigilance Strategy & Digital Transformation

  • Define and shape future-state Pharmacovigilance (PV) technology strategies, digital roadmaps, and innovation initiatives for global life sciences organizations.
  • Drive enterprise transformation programs across pharmacovigilance, drug safety, and clinical development operations.
  • Identify modernization opportunities across safety systems, compliance workflows, and pharmacovigilance business processes.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, compliance, and patient safety outcomes.

Solution Architecture & Functional Consulting

  • Lead end-to-end solution design for pharmacovigilance and safety business processes supported by enterprise IT platforms.
  • Translate business challenges into scalable functional and technical solutions aligned with industry best practices.
  • Provide consulting expertise across clinical development, drug safety systems, and life sciences digital ecosystems.
  • Guide solution frameworks for pharmacovigilance, clinical operations, and healthcare technology initiatives.

Innovation, Emerging Technologies & AI Use Cases

  • Develop proof of concepts (PoCs), innovation use cases, and transformation initiatives leveraging Generative AI, Agentic AI, IoT, Big Data, Blockchain, and emerging healthcare technologies.
  • Evaluate technology trends and recommend strategic adoption opportunities for life sciences clients.
  • Support innovation programs that enhance pharmacovigilance intelligence, automation, and predictive analytics capabilities.

Business Development & Thought Leadership

  • Contribute to consulting growth through solution proposals, RFP responses, client presentations, and strategic bids.
  • Develop white papers, thought leadership assets, service offerings, marketing collateral, and consulting frameworks.
  • Participate in proactive consulting pitches and business growth initiatives in the life sciences domain.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare organizations.
  • Engage with senior client stakeholders to understand business priorities, compliance challenges, and transformation opportunities.
  • Present strategic recommendations, technology roadmaps, and consulting solutions to decision-makers.

Technology Partnerships & Ecosystem Development

  • Collaborate with pharmacovigilance technology vendors, OEM partners, and healthcare platform providers.
  • Support strategic alliances with technology partners in clinical development and drug safety ecosystems.
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities and align partner solutions with client transformation needs.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor junior consultants, analysts, and domain professionals in pharmacovigilance technology consulting.
  • Support capability building, knowledge development, and consulting practice growth.
  • Promote innovation, domain excellence, and collaborative problem-solving across teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
  • Preferred qualifications include B.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Sc, M.Sc, B.Tech, BE, MCA, or M.Tech.
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in pharmacovigilance, life sciences consulting, healthcare IT, or clinical technology transformation.
  • Strong domain expertise in Pharmacovigilance, Drug Safety, Clinical Development, or Life Sciences IT systems.
  • Experience with enterprise pharmacovigilance platforms, clinical systems, safety workflows, and healthcare digital transformation programs.
  • Exposure to emerging technologies such as AI/ML, GenAI, automation, analytics, or digital healthcare innovation is highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder communication, consulting, presentation, and business development skills.
