Lead Contract Specialist – Clinical Research (Mumbai)

Job Summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Lead Contract Specialist with a strong background in clinical trial site identification, contract negotiation, and site documentation processes. Based in Mumbai, this role is crucial for managing confidentiality agreements (CDAs), site information forms (SIFs), and performance metrics. Ideal for candidates with at least 2 years of experience in budget negotiations and strong familiarity with clinical research protocols and regulatory requirements.

This position is integral to the site start-up phase of clinical trials, ensuring timely, compliant execution aligned with global standards and organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the site identification process in alignment with SOPs, protocols, and regulations.

  • Negotiate and finalize Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements (CDAs) and Site Information Forms (SIFs) with investigative sites.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sites during pre-study activities.

  • Monitor and report site performance metrics, identifying and implementing process improvements.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical operations, legal, and regulatory teams.

  • Support audit readiness by ensuring accurate documentation and process compliance.

  • Oversee defined aspects of project execution and provide mentorship to junior team members.

  • Ensure consistency and quality in the execution of contracting and financial agreements.

  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and SOP updates relevant to site contracting and site management.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Life Sciences, Business, Legal Studies) or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical budget negotiations and financial agreement drafting.

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of clinical trial operations, site management, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to track and manage multiple documents and timelines simultaneously.

  • Proficiency with contract management systems and MS Office tools.
