LabCorp is dedicated to “Improving Health, Improving Lives”. We are seeking a Quality Manager to join our Anatomic Pathology team in the Northwestern region. This role provides the opportunity to lead quality assurance initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in a high-performing, collaborative lab environment.


Work Schedule & Travel

  • Full-time, Monday – Friday (standard hours)

  • Regional travel required to support Quality Programs and Conferences (approximately 30% travel, may include overnight)


Salary Range

  • $80,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience, education, certifications, and market data)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain LabCorp’s quality assurance program for assigned Anatomic Pathology labs

  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous learning and development

  • Serve as a liaison between external regulatory agencies and laboratories

  • Facilitate process improvement activities and implement policies according to regulatory requirements

  • Monitor outcomes of root cause analyses, corrective actions, and effectiveness checks

  • Formulate responses to accreditation and regulatory citations, nonconforming events, and complaints

  • Collect, summarize, and present quality indicators, audit outcomes, and complaints to leadership

  • Audit laboratories to identify quality issues, nonconformities, and improvement opportunities

  • Provide training on LabCorp quality policies and procedures

  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, standards, and methodologies


Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or related science preferred; Associate degree with relevant quality experience acceptable

  • 5+ years in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Management

  • 2+ years of People Leadership/Operations experience preferred

  • Experience in Diagnostics Laboratory and Anatomic Pathology strongly preferred

  • Background as a Cytotechnologist or Histotechnologist is highly desirable

  • Strong understanding of quality systems, regulatory compliance, and lab operations

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
