This role provides the opportunity to lead quality assurance initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in a high-performing, collaborative lab environment.
Work Schedule & Travel
Full-time, Monday – Friday (standard hours)
Regional travel required to support Quality Programs and Conferences (approximately 30% travel, may include overnight)
Salary Range
$80,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience, education, certifications, and market data)

Key Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain LabCorp’s quality assurance program for assigned Anatomic Pathology labs
Promote a culture of quality and continuous learning and development
Serve as a liaison between external regulatory agencies and laboratories
Facilitate process improvement activities and implement policies according to regulatory requirements
Monitor outcomes of root cause analyses, corrective actions, and effectiveness checks
Formulate responses to accreditation and regulatory citations, nonconforming events, and complaints
Collect, summarize, and present quality indicators, audit outcomes, and complaints to leadership
Audit laboratories to identify quality issues, nonconformities, and improvement opportunities
Provide training on LabCorp quality policies and procedures
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, standards, and methodologies
Requirements
BA/BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or related science preferred; Associate degree with relevant quality experience acceptable
5+ years in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Management
2+ years of People Leadership/Operations experience preferred
Experience in Diagnostics Laboratory and Anatomic Pathology strongly preferred
Background as a Cytotechnologist or Histotechnologist is highly desirable
Strong understanding of quality systems, regulatory compliance, and lab operations
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
