Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze patient medical records for accurate coding

  • Adhere to current coding guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements

  • Learn and use medical coding software systems effectively

  • Apply basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to interpret clinical documentation

  • Attend training and stay up to date with developments in medical coding practices

  • Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of patient information

  • Comply with all company policies and adapt to business needs such as shift changes, location transfers, and team realignments


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

    • Medical Sciences

    • Life Sciences / Biosciences

    • Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Sciences

    • Nursing or Allied Health

  • Solid understanding of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology

  • Familiarity with ICD-10 guidelines and proper coding implementation

  • Competency in reviewing medical records for accuracy and completeness


Preferred Qualifications:

  • AAPC or AHIMA certification

  • Experience in Risk Adjustment coding
