Junior Executive – Supply Chain / Purchase

Role Summary

The Junior Executive – Supply Chain/Purchase is responsible for supporting warehouse and inventory management activities, including receipt, storage, issuance, stock maintenance, purchase requisition creation, documentation, and material handling operations. The role ensures efficient inventory control, compliance with warehouse procedures, SEZ regulations, and smooth supply of raw materials, consumables, packaging materials, spares, and gases required for R&D and operational activities.

This position works closely with procurement, warehouse operations, supply chain teams, and end users to maintain inventory accuracy, support purchasing activities, and ensure compliance with EHS and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Support warehouse operations across BBRC stores.

  • Receive and issue:

    • Raw Materials (RM)

    • Packaging Materials (PM)

    • Consumables

    • Spare Parts

    • Gas Cylinders

  • Maintain inventory and stock records.

  • Ensure proper storage and material handling practices.

Purchase & Procurement Support

  • Create Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for:

    • Raw Materials

    • Packaging Materials

    • Consumables

    • Spares

  • Coordinate with procurement and internal stakeholders for material requirements.

  • Track requisition status and procurement activities.

Material Receipt & Verification

  • Verify incoming materials against:

    • Invoice

    • Packing List

    • Certificate of Analysis (COA)

    • Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)

    • SEZ Documentation

  • Check:

    • Pack Size

    • Label Accuracy

    • Material Quantity

    • Material Weight

  • Ensure compliance with warehouse receiving procedures.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain inventory records and stock updates.

  • Support periodic stock verification and cycle counts.

  • Reconcile physical inventory with system inventory.

  • Monitor stock levels and support replenishment planning.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain warehouse transaction records.

  • Support:

    • Job Work Challans

    • Gate Pass Documentation

    • SEZ Documentation

  • Ensure accurate recording of material movements.

  • Support accounting of returned and rejected materials.

Material Returns & Rejections

  • Handle vendor return materials.

  • Support receipt and system accounting of returned materials.

  • Manage rejected material processing and documentation.

EHS & Quality Compliance

  • Follow EHS guidelines for storage and handling of materials.

  • Ensure proper arrangement of materials according to compatibility requirements.

  • Maintain housekeeping standards within warehouse operations.

  • Adhere to Syngene quality and safety standards.

Operational Support

  • Support gas cylinder receipt, storage, and issuance.

  • Coordinate warehouse activities with internal departments.

  • Assist in inventory audits and inspections.

Education
