Role Summary

The Junior Executive – Supply Chain & Store Operations is responsible for supporting warehouse and inventory management activities, including receipt, storage, issuance, documentation, stock control, purchase requisition creation, and compliance with quality and EHS standards. The role ensures efficient material movement and inventory accuracy to support operational requirements across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Inventory Management

  • Support warehouse operations for raw materials (RM), packaging materials (PM), consumables, and spare parts.

  • Receive, inspect, store, and issue materials as per operational requirements.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock transactions.

  • Monitor stock levels and support inventory replenishment activities.

  • Assist in maintaining physical and system inventory accuracy.

Material Receipt & Verification

  • Receive materials at the main stores and perform first-level verification.

  • Review and verify:

    • Invoices

    • Packing Lists

    • Certificates of Analysis (COA)

    • Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)

    • Pack Sizes

    • Security and SEZ documentation

  • Verify material labels against supporting documentation.

  • Perform weight verification as per approved procedures and specifications.

  • Ensure proper documentation and recording of all incoming materials.

Purchase Requisition & Procurement Support

  • Create Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for:

    • Raw Materials

    • Packaging Materials

    • Consumables

    • Spare Parts

  • Coordinate with procurement and internal stakeholders for material requirements.

  • Support tracking of procurement-related activities.

Inventory Control & Stock Management

  • Support periodic stock audits and cycle counts.

  • Reconcile physical inventory against system records.

  • Assist in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies.

  • Maintain inventory accuracy and stock integrity.

  • Support return material accounting and stock updates after usage.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain warehouse transaction records and documentation.

  • Support preparation of job work challans and gate passes for SEZ consignments.

  • Ensure all inventory movements are properly documented and recorded.

  • Maintain compliance with company policies and quality standards.

  • Support audit and inspection readiness activities.

Material Handling & Storage

  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials according to compatibility requirements.

  • Support receipt and issuance of gas cylinders.

  • Manage rejected, returned, and vendor-return materials.

  • Maintain organized storage locations and material traceability.

  • Ensure adherence to warehouse best practices and safety guidelines.

Housekeeping & EHS Compliance

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and storage areas.

  • Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols.

  • Ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals and materials.

  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and company guidelines.

  • Support a culture of safety, quality, and compliance.


Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

Technical Skills

  • Inventory and warehouse management.

  • Purchase Requisition (PR) creation.

  • Material receipt and verification.

  • Inventory control and stock reconciliation.

  • Documentation and record management.

  • Basic understanding of chemical handling and material compatibility.

  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and supply chain processes.
