Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our dynamic Lilly sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our Cardiometabolic health products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and other medical staff. The Sales Representative will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and building strong relationships with clients by utilizing value-based selling principles while adhering to Lilly's compliance guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
  • Identify and establish new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Create and execute a territory action plan with strategic decisions about goals, monitoring progress regularly.
  • Maintain and update the target list and prepare a retail call list for key pharmacies.
  • Build and maintain ethical and professional relationships with healthcare professionals, pharmacists, and other stakeholders.
  • Use Value-Based Selling principles to effectively communicate the value and therapeutic benefits of Lilly products.
  • Provide scientific support and respond to inquiries from healthcare professionals, offering accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to the sales manager.
  • Coordinate and execute Healthcare Professional (HCP) meetings, industry conferences, and promotional events, ensuring effective logistics and alignment with Marketing.
  • Conduct Pharmacy and Nurses Awareness Programs to educate on the proper use and dispensing of Lilly medicines.
  • Ensure the availability of Lilly products at stockists and verify stock levels while gathering insights on sales trends.
  • Uphold internal procedures and adhere to external industry codes (e.g., UCPMP), maintaining the highest ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a related field (Advanced degree, such as an MBA, is a plus).
  • 2-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or a similar role (MNC experience preferred).
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Knowledge of the Diabetes and Metabolic therapeutic areas and product segments is preferred.
  • Experience with new product launches is a plus.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • In-depth understanding of compliance and ethical standards within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Enthusiasm, drive, and a passion for making a difference in patients' lives.
