IPG Reporting Analyst – Chennai, India (Hybrid)

Job Summary

ICON plc, a global leader in healthcare intelligence and clinical research, is seeking an IPG Reporting Analyst to join their Accounting & Finance division in Chennai, India. This role supports investigator payments within clinical trials, contributing directly to the financial operations and process improvements in the clinical research domain. Ideal for candidates with a background in clinical finance, reporting analysis, or investigator payments in a pharma environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support Investigator Payments Group (IPG) in setting up and maintaining investigator payments.

  • Escalate issues in the absence of senior IPG members.

  • Conduct training sessions on IPG processes and procedures.

  • Communicate with internal teams and clients to resolve payment queries efficiently.

  • Review site contracts and payment data to ensure timely and accurate payments.

  • Lead and report on Clinical/IPG study status meetings.

  • Perform validation and quality checks on payment files.

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams like Clinical, PTS, IT, Finance, and Legal.

  • Update IPG systems based on contract changes and study requirements.

  • Contribute to continuous process improvements and SOP updates.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of clinical research financial processes.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to perform detailed data reviews and quality checks.

  • Proficiency in financial systems like ICONomics.

  • Knowledge of site contracts and clinical trial agreements.

  • Experience coordinating with cross-departmental teams.

  • Background in accounting, finance, or clinical trial payments preferred.
