Head of Marketing – Cardiovascular | Rome, Italy

Job Summary:

Novo Nordisk is seeking a seasoned Head of Marketing to lead its Cardiovascular portfolio strategy in Italy. Based in Rome, this high-impact leadership role involves shaping commercial strategies, guiding marketing operations, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive innovative patient care solutions. Ideal for experienced pharma professionals with a strong background in brand management, life sciences, and team leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement short- and long-term commercial strategies for the cardiovascular product portfolio.

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the cardiovascular marketing team to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration across sales, medical affairs, and external stakeholders.

  • Represent Novo Nordisk confidently in engagements with scientific societies and senior healthcare professionals.

  • Oversee marketing budgets and ensure optimal allocation of resources.

  • Ensure compliance with local laws, business ethics, company policies, and global procedures.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in life sciences, business, or marketing (preferred).

  • Over 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing and brand management.

  • Proven people management and leadership experience.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and goal-oriented approach.

  • Fluent in English and Italian (both written and spoken).

  • Prior experience in cardiovascular therapeutic area is a strong advantage.

  • Ideally based in Rome; applicants from across Italy are welcome.
