Job Description: Global Medical Communications Lead, Dermatology
Location: Hybrid (Boston, MA)

Objectives/Purpose:
The Global Medical Communications Lead, Dermatology, is a strategic partner within the Global Medical Affairs team, responsible for driving the planning and execution of medical communications strategies for assigned assets. This role is integral to the global medical strategy, ensuring the effective communication of scientific information both internally and externally.

In collaboration with cross-functional teams, the Global Medical Communications Lead will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of asset-level medical communication strategies.
  • Serve as a key decision maker and influential leader in shaping the medical communications approach.
  • Provide scientific leadership and technical expertise across disease states, contributing to asset launches and life-cycle management.
  • Manage the creation and execution of integrated congress plans, including the Medical Affairs booth, FAQs, and scientific symposia.
  • Develop and update scientific communication materials such as core slide decks, communication plans, and lexicons.
  • Generate content for internal education, scientific symposia, and advisory boards.
  • Ensure compliance and appropriateness in medical materials through the formal review process.
  • Evaluate and recommend speakers for medical communication events.
  • Monitor performance and ensure goals and plans are on track, within budget, and executed on time.
  • Oversee financial forecasting and vendor management for assigned assets.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A relevant healthcare degree is required, with a preference for a medical or scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, RN, MS).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry (10 years for candidates with a master's degree), with a focus in medical affairs.
  • Prior experience in dermatology is strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in medical communications strategy, planning, and execution is required.
  • Strong critical thinking and the ability to understand complex disease states and datasets.
  • Proven ability to inspire teamwork and focus on priorities in a matrix structure.
  • Experience in managing medical communications agencies and budgets.
  • Familiarity with international regulatory and legal guidelines regarding medical communication.
  • Up to 20% travel for congresses and meetings.

Compensation and Benefits (U.S. Location - Boston, MA):

  • U.S. Base Salary Range: $149,100 - $234,300 (actual salary will depend on factors like qualifications, experience, and location).
  • U.S.-based employees may be eligible for short-term and long-term incentives.
