The role of a Global Leader of MLR Services is a key leadership position with P&L responsibility reporting directly to the SVP. MLR (Medical Legal and Regulatory) Review is a key step in review and approval for promotional and scientific materials at pharma companies. Also known as MRC (Material Review and Compliance), PRC (Promotional Review Committee) and other acronyms, it is an industry-leading capability for Indegene with 20+ active clients in the US, EU, and Global teams. This role will require an entrepreneurial mindset and will be responsible for managing Indegene’s global MLR Review and Approval business; for building and strengthening capabilities relevant for future growth; for embedding contemporary technology into the company’s solutions, and for engaging with decision makers in life sciences companies to help expand Indegene’s footprint and revenues in this area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue and margin responsibilities for Indegene’s MLR services.
  • Engagement with senior decision-makers in client organizations to drive growth of existing engagements, penetrate into new areas, and break through into new clients.
  • Strengthening Indegene’s capabilities & intellectual property in MLR review and approval.
  • Building multi-geographic delivery capabilities both organically and inorganically.
  • Keeping an eye on the external environment for relevant market trends and new innovations.
  • Working closely with Indegene’s technology innovation team to guide the development of technological solutions and IP, ensuring their integration into Indegene’s operational processes and engagements at scale.
  • Build and strengthen capabilities with a focus on data through talent acquisition and implementation of relevant training and development programs for the team.
  • Ability to adapt and develop an understanding of local government and industry guidelines, regulations, laws, etc., for appropriate scientific/medical exchange and communication with customers.
  • Partner with clients and provide direction and input into the development and implementation of successful reimbursement and market-access strategies with some clients.

Job Specification:

Experience:

  • 20+ years of professional experience in the life sciences domain with US and/or EU customers.
  • Experience in either medical affairs, commercial operations, or MLR services desired.
  • 3+ years of P&L and operational responsibility is an added plus.

Education:

  • Graduate degree in any life sciences area with or without an MBA.
  • Proven track record in engaging with senior decision-makers in client organizations.
  • Experience in leading a multi-geographic and multi-cultural team.
  • Experience and openness to learn and implement the latest technology advances.
  • Deep understanding of contemporary technology platforms and best practices for data management.
