Position Summary

The Global Systematic Literature Review (SLR) Senior Associate provides specialized expertise in designing, conducting, and managing systematic literature reviews within Amgen’s Global HEOR team. The role supports global market access by generating high-quality, evidence-based outputs throughout the product lifecycle, in close alignment with HEOR product strategies and global teams.


Key Responsibilities

1. Research & Analysis

  • Refine literature review questions and prepare research protocols.

  • Design comprehensive searches across electronic databases (PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library) and grey literature (conference proceedings, regulatory sites).

  • Screen abstracts and full-texts using PICO criteria.

  • Develop and review PRISMA flow diagrams for study selection.

  • Extract and synthesize data into standardized templates.

  • Draft evidence tables, figures, final reports, and presentations highlighting trends and insights.

2. Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure accuracy and quality in all deliverables.

  • Adhere to internal SOPs and methodological standards.

3. Collaboration & Communication

  • Support and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Work cross-functionally with global HEOR teams across time zones.

  • Present findings clearly to non-technical and technical audiences.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Health Economics, Public Health, Medicine, Epidemiology, or a related health science field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years (Master’s) or 5+ years (Bachelor’s) experience in systematic literature review (pharma/biotech/consulting).

  • Hands-on experience with clinical, economic, QoL, and burden of illness reviews.

  • Proficiency in biomedical databases (MEDLINE, EMBASE).

  • Experience managing multiple concurrent SLR projects effectively.


Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and editing abilities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Experience with reference management tools (e.g., EndNote).

  • Familiarity with systematic review tools and citation databases.

  • Ability to use AI tools to enhance efficiency (preferred).
