    Position Overview:

    The General Manager, Operations will oversee the daily operations of our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance. This position has full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility and requires a strategic, hands-on leader who can drive operational excellence and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The General Manager will be responsible for leading teams and driving growth and innovation within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Leadership and Operational Management:

    • Lead and manage all operations within the factory, including supply chain (procurement to planning), production, maintenance/engineering, validation, technical services, and operational excellence teams.
    • Oversee day-to-day operations with full responsibility for the P&L of both sterile and non-sterile operations.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and high-quality standards.

    2. Strategic Planning and Execution:

    • Develop and implement strategic plans to meet business goals and growth targets, including leading site-specific initiatives and investment projects.
    • Contribute to the development and execution of the site’s capital investment budget.

    3. Quality and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, TPP, European regulations) by developing and implementing quality improvement plans.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external regulatory bodies to maintain product quality and ensure regulatory compliance.

    4. Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external customers to identify new opportunities for growth.
    • Contribute to the North American CMO leadership group, driving customer satisfaction and overall business success.

    5. Staff Development and Leadership:

    • A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
    • Experience in a unionized sterile manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

    Skills:

    • Strong business acumen and in-depth understanding of regulatory systems in North America, Europe, and other regions.
    • Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
    • Experience in customer service and client relationship management is highly desirable.
