Job Description:

The Facilities Manager at Lilly is responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring that all facility services are effectively delivered. This includes overseeing general and critical maintenance, workplace services, space planning, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) programs. The role also involves managing service contracts, coordinating facility maintenance, implementing continuous improvement processes, and driving cost-saving initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in facilities management, HSE, and the ability to manage teams while ensuring efficient and safe operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the site to meet facility needs, including maintenance, workplace services, and space planning.

  • Oversee service providers to ensure consistent service delivery across janitorial, security, environmental health & safety, travel, and food services.

  • Lead the facility management team in overseeing maintenance programs for both the interior and exterior conditions of the facility.

  • Implement a property and facility asset management program, focusing on preventative maintenance and uptime metrics.

  • Manage service contracts and ensure delivery is aligned with corporate standards and SLAs.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operations, cost savings, and quality improvements.

  • Prepare and deliver forecasts, budgets, and financial reports related to facilities.

  • Manage facility-related communication and maintain proactive employee relations across site staff.

  • Ensure the HSE program is effectively maintained and records are up to date.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Four-year college/university degree or at least 10 years of facility management experience.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial high-rise or property portfolio management.

    • Expertise in construction, engineering, property operations, and building management.

    • Knowledge of critical systems infrastructure, such as Data Centers, R&D labs, UPS, and HVAC systems.

  • Skills:

    • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

    • Proficient in Excel and Word.

    • Leadership skills with the ability to manage facility teams.
