Position Summary

As an Expert Writer, Medical Content Development, you will play a pivotal role in EVERSANA’s Compliance Business Unit, supporting clients across pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, digital therapeutics, and more. You’ll create scientifically rigorous, compliant medical content and support key medical affairs and information initiatives for emerging and established life sciences clients.


Key Responsibilities

Content Development & Delivery

  • Develop medical/scientific content for:

    • Scientific Response Documents (SRDs)

    • FAQs

    • Slide decks

    • Abstracts/Posters

    • Education & training materials

  • Lead content development processes including material gathering, writing, MLR review facilitation, and quality control.

  • Serve as content owner in platforms like Veeva Vault MedComms/PromoMats, managing uploads, annotations, and referencing.

  • Fact-check scientific content as needed for accuracy and compliance.

Client Engagement & Strategic Support

  • Support content development engagements across standalone and integrated commercialization projects.

  • Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Medical Information, Regulatory, Quality, and Pharmacovigilance teams.

  • Attend and contribute to client meetings and strategic planning sessions.

Leadership & Innovation

  • Mentor junior writers and support hiring, onboarding, and training.

  • Help develop internal SOPs, templates, and style guides.

  • Contribute to EVERSANA thought leadership (blogs, newsletters, publications).

  • Evaluate and implement tools and processes for continuous improvement.


Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent advanced life sciences degree (e.g., M.Pharm., M.S. Pharm.)

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in medical writing/content development within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry

Core Competencies

  • Direct experience in Medical Information, Medical Communications, or Scientific Communications

  • Proficient in:

    • Literature search tools (e.g., PubMed, Ovid, Embase)

    • Citation/reference management software (e.g., EndNote, Mendeley)

    • Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • AMA Manual of Style

    • Medical publishing guidelines (e.g., ICMJE, GPP, PRISMA, STROBE, CONSORT)

    • Regulatory/compliance standards for promotional and non-promotional content

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Able to work independently and in cross-functional teams

  • Highly ethical with a patient- and client-focused mindset


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing Medical Information content for new product launches

  • Published abstracts, posters, or manuscripts

  • Experience working across multiple therapeutic areas

  • Familiarity with Veeva Vault MedComms/PromoMats


Work Expectations

  • Hours: Approx. 40+ per week

  • Travel: Up to 10% (post-COVID)

  • Work Environment: Remote

  • Collaboration: Frequent interaction across internal teams and client stakeholders
