Job Overview
The Expert Scientific Writer will support the development of high-quality scientific and medical communication materials across therapeutic areas. The role involves end-to-end ownership of content development, coordination with global stakeholders and adherence to scientific, compliance and publication standards.
This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent scientific comprehension and the ability to create structured, accurate and compliant content.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development
Develop complex scientific content, including abstracts, posters, slide decks, manuscripts and medical education materials
Manage end-to-end content development workflows in platforms such as PromoMats and iEnvision
Maintain high standards of accuracy, scientific integrity and compliance across all deliverables
Scientific Expertise
Build strong therapeutic area knowledge and stay updated with medical, clinical and regulatory developments
Support publication planning activities, including publication-need assessments and implementation of annual publication plans
Leverage digital tools and advanced training methods to optimize content efficiency and scientific communication
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Maintain effective professional relationships with medical stakeholders and scientific communication teams
Engage with healthcare professionals to support publication development and scientific discussions
Collaborate with global teams and regional affiliates to ensure high-quality, customized deliverables
Quality & Process Excellence
Review content created by team members and contribute to best-practice development
Partner with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely and compliant project execution
Use feedback and performance metrics to improve content quality, delivery and training effectiveness
About You
Experience
Fresher eligible
(Candidates with strong scientific writing aptitude, internships, academic research experience or exposure to medical communication will be considered.)
Experienced candidates may have up to 8 years in pharmaceutical/healthcare content creation or academia
Leadership or mentoring exposure is an added advantage
Skills
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global environment
High level of scientific comprehension and detail-oriented approach
Technical Skills
Knowledge of therapeutic areas, medical writing standards and publication processes
Familiarity with publication platforms and project management principles is beneficial
Education
Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine or related scientific disciplines
Languages
Excellent written and spoken English
